Ellene Violet Armagost, 93 of Rockton, entered into God's eternal care, Monday, November 12, 2012 at Christ The King Manor, DuBois. She was the wife of the late Lawrence "Larry" Armagost who died April 5, 1999.
Born August 17, 1919 in Rockton, she was the daughter of the late Cleon and Roxie (Weber) Kougher.
Mrs. Armagost was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Rockton. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, reading and most of all spending time with her family.
Surviving are two sons and two daughters: Greg Armagost and his wife Brenda, Rockton; Karen Houk and her husband Harold, Rochester, NY; Brad Armagost and his wife Jeri, Reynoldsville; Patricia Ketron and her husband (Charlie), Excelsior Springs, MO; also 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one great granddaughter: Chelsea McAnich, 2 brothers: Edgar and Aldridge "Buck" Kougher; 3 sisters: Betty Lou Jacobs, Vera Lyons and Phyllis Snedden.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Ellene V. Armagost will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel, 142 W. Long Ave., DuBois, PA 15801 with Rev.Tim Spence officiating. A time to share memories and have an opportunity to view will be Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 7:00 – 9:00 PM and on Thursday from 10:00 -11:00 the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rockton Cemetery.
