My family has been blessed by living across the street from Don & Elva. Elva's love for Don and her family was evident in every conversation I ever had with her. She was a caring woman who looked out for us always. We will miss her and pray for the Alexander family.

Elva was a true role model for mothers, her loyalty and love for family always came first. She welcomed me into the family as a daughter and I will cherish the memory of our time together as a family. She made holidays and birthdays the best in her special way. I am inspired by the loving relationship she had with the love of her life, Don. She will always be in my heart and thoughts.

Elva was a dear, sweet woman. She valued her family greatly and had a lot of love for some treasured friends. My mother-in-law will always have a very special place in my heart, I really loved her. I have so many beautiful memories of shared, happy times. She will be missed incredibly but I take comfort in the fact that I will see her again in heaven.

Not to many people have the opportunity to know their Grandparents. I have been very lucky in my life to have such a unique and special relationship with my Grandmother. I will miss her so much, but take comfort in knowing that I will see her again some day. Until then, I know she will be watching over us all with a smile.

My Mom was the kindest, most gentle person I ever knew. If everyone had a mother like her the world would be a better place. There are no words to express how much I loved my mother. She was my best friend and we talked everyday. We will all miss her very much but she will always be there in my heart and I will still be talking to her. Love you Mom, Gayle.

I have been blessed to have been a part of Elva's family for so many years, I consider her my grandmother. Her spunk and spirit will live on as she looks down upon us and smiles her beautiful smile. God bless the Alexander family.

Such wonderful memories of growing up in Lakewood and part of that is being greeted by Elva whenever you visited. She was always warm (especially to us girls) and yet tough. She had to be with 3 sons. She will be greatly missed as she was the center of the family, as all mothers are. My love to her husband Donald and her sons, Gary, Gayle and Val. Love

My mother was a wonderful person. Everyone loved her. I am going to miss her very much. I am so glad that her pain is gone. My only consoling thought is that someday we will be together in eternity with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
