ABELY, Emilie M. (Sullivan) of Norwood passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on July 29, 2012.
She was the daughter of the late Denis and Blanche (Houle) Sullivan; beloved wife of Paul Abely, with whom she shared 51 years of marriage; loving mother of Paul Abely, Jr. and his wife Terri of Walpole, Ellen Hope and her husband George of Wrentham, David Abely and his wife Michele of Stonington, CT, and Kristin Bianculli and her husband Michael of Norwood; cherished grandmother of Patrick, Timothy and Lauren Abely, Victoria Hope, Benjamin and Nicholas Abely, and Gracie and Ava Bianculli; devoted sister of Maureen Eppich of Vero Beach, FL. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 2 at 9:00am from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rte. 1A), Norwood, and at 10:00am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington Street, Norwood, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow the Mass in Highland Cemetery, Norwood. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, August 1 from 4:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.
