I met Mrs. Lowry at the Arbor, where my mother has been a resident for the last two years. Mrs. Lowry's room was directly across the hall from my mother, so I saw her pretty frequently when I visited my mom. She always had a smile on her face - even when she was headed out for dialysis. Sometimes she entertained us with stories of teaching Sunday School to little girls. You may not have been aware, but Mrs. Lowry and my mom had an ongoing competition with blood sugar readings! (The lowest reading winning, of course.) Each would wait patiently to see what the other person's reading was so as to determine the winner. I think Mrs. Lowry always won,
Mrs. Lowry was a lovely person and still "sharp as a tack." I shall miss seeing her when I visit the Arbor.

The family of Susan, Buz and Emily, I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your wonderful mother and grandmother. I did not find out about it until tonight. It has to be hard to know she is no longer among us and now with the Lord.

Buz,
I am sorry to hear of your mothers passing and wish I could have attned the service.
My late mother Anne Potter Spencer, always refered to Mrs. Lowry as "cousin Emily."
I have never understood the connection but will mention that my Great Grandfather was Judge Wiley Potter.
I hope we can find a way to get together as I have become more interested in the Potter line in my later years.
