Emma L. Alder
July 9, 1921 - August 13, 2012
Emma L. Alder was in Parowan, Utah in 1921, one of 14 children. After her marriage to Russell D. Alder, she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah; Phoenix, Arizona and finally settling in San Diego, California in 1951.
She enjoyed being with her brothers, sisters and their families throughout the years, especially the yearly summer trips to Utah.
Emma had 2 children, Connie Rae and Richard Alder. She has 7 grandchildren, Troy Fox (Christy); Tracy Tanga (Benny); deceased twins Tiffany and Tori Fox; Tyler Fox (Vanessa); Lisa Crunk (Kevin); and Jay Alder (Debra). 5 great grandchildren, Heather, Taylor Rae, Logan, Conner and Jordyn. Her first great great grandchild is due in February 2013.
She loved the outdoors, fishing, flowers, was a professional seamstress and will be remembered for her famous chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies. She was extremely talented in many areas.
We are thankful to have had her in our lives for so many years.
Emma passed away last Monday, August 13, 2012 from Alzheimer's Disease that she had for 16 years. How blessed we are for having her in our lives and her memory will never be forgotten.
Many, many thanks to the nurses and caregivers at Parkside Special Care Center over these many years.l
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, 10 a.m. at Parowan City Cemetery in Parowan, Utah where she will be laid to rest with her family.
In lieu of flowers, donations many be mad to the Alzheimer's Association in Emma's name.
