Emmett L. Barnett, 82, of Memphis, passed away on Thursday, February 07, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mary Frances Barnett, children, Ray Barnett and his wife Debra, and Richard Barnett and his wife Karen, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Mr. Barnett was a veteran of the Army, Air force and National Guard; he was a retired tax examiner and a longtime member of Grey Rd. Baptist Church. Mr. Barnett was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Memorial contributions may be made to the Crosspointe Baptist Church, 8850 Hwy 51, Millington, TN., 38053. Visitation will be Friday, February 8 from 6-8pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. The funeral will be on Saturday at 2pm also at the funeral home.
