On all his photos with his grand smile and these wonderful comments, it makes it very clear that he was a fine gentleman. Married in April 2018 to the love of his life and then God takes him in February 2019...not even a 1st Anniversary...oh how cruel life can be. I'm a great believer, but when things like this happen, I really question God as to His reasoning.
We can only pray that you feel comfort in your sorrowful time.

Eric was one of the BEST Ad Service employees at The Oregonian.
Always helpful, patient and knowledgeable in performing his work assignments- with a great personality as well.
A very pleasant person who was such an asset to Larry Wilson's great Ad Service department.

My husband and I just learned the devastating news that Eric passed. We are heartbroken... we enjoyed our visits with Eric when he delivered our Schwans food. He had become a friend who we looked forward to seeing! Our thoughts and prayers are with his family! We want you to know what a special man he was and how much he will be missed by our family.

We were also one of Eric's customers and are truly shocked to hear of his passing. What a kind person he was. He was so excited when he told us he was getting married and that he'd be gone for at least two weeks for his honeymoon. We would talk about sports and give him a bad time about not being a Seahawks fan but a Giants fan. He will be sorely missed and our hearts go out to his family.

Heaven gained another angel. Eric was by far one of the nicest people I've ever met. You could talk about anything with him; family, sports, politics, business... always engaging and always considerate.
Words that come to mind when I think of him are friendly, kind, and smart. Although his physical life was held to 55 years, his spirit will live on through his family legacy. His memory will remain with us all.

we were shocked to learn today of Eric's untimely passing. He was our Schwans man and we considered him a friend with whom we enjoyed visiting. I spent my life in the newspaper business so Eric and I had a lot do discuss concerning the challenges of today's newspaper business.

We mourn his passing and offer our deepest sympathy to Eric's family.

I just recieved the sad new of the amazing man's passing. My heart goes out to his family. Every two weeks for the past 4 years he has delivered for Schwan's to our house. We were so happy last year when we moved homes that he was still in our service area. He was down to earth and always came to the door with a smile on his face even when his work week had been super rough. I loved learning about how much he loved his family, and their weekly plans. We even hated when he was gone for a week on our service day because his replacement was just not "Eric." He was the least pushy salesman I have ever met and that is one of the reasons we first started buying from Schwan's in the first place. My family is more than thankful for the service he provided us and he will be greatly missed.

Eric Nass is a dear friend whom I miss greatly. I will miss the music and wine nights with you and Denise. Eric was a kind, gentle and loving man. He cared about everyone especially his beautiful wife Denise Nass and his children and grandkids. Thank you faithful friend for all the wonderful memories. I know you smiled when our Lord welcomed His good and faithful servant.

Kelly of Schwanns informed us today of Eric's passing. We are so sorry for your loss.He was the kindest, patient and funniest man. We met Eric through our Mom, Virginia French, as her Schwann's driver. I would pop over and buy things as they visited back and forth. My Mom loved Eric and looked forward to his visit every two weeks. At one time she was his oldest customers at 96. When Mom passed in October 2018, Eric cried with us. Now they are visiting and laughing in heaven. Thank you for sharing Eric with us all. We miss him and his sense of humor already!

Nass family,

We are so very sorry to hear about Eric. He was not only our Schwans delivery man, but instantly felt right at home with his kind and patient nature. Eric was quite the salesman, his quiet persistence and timely reminders of sales lead us into the Schwans world of mostly ice-cream (my weakness) (the darn ice-cream cones, delish) he knew I could not say no. Funny, I would offer him one, and that was our connection. I enjoyed our visits, and it got to the point where Schwans or not, Eric was always welcome. He listened kindly as I would rant about what ever took shape that day and quietly waited for me to realize just why he was there.. a true gentleman and friend. On Thursday, Kelly with Schwans appeared at our door, he delivered the news with gentle care, I cried, in disbelief. Somehow this man, Eric had worked his way into our hearts. This is such a significant loss for his family, friends, coworkers and customers. We are so sorry, we are so sad. Healing hugs to all, Nass family. And Eric, I am counting on you for ice-cream cones in heaven.

Eric entered my life as a patient in my dental hygiene practice in 1980. During those 30 years, Eric & I forged a deep friendship...he was like a brother to me. I got to witness him growing up and taking on the challenges of work, college, marriage and fatherhood. His devotion to family and friends was immeasurable. Eric was such a loving and caring father, husband and friend. Upon my retirement, I often thought of Eric and how I missed our conversations. I'm so sorry that his life was cut short, but Eric has left all of us with wonderful memories. May his family find comfort in the days to come. God speed to his loving arms, my friend.

Fondly,
Sherry Palmer

My wife Harriet and I knew Eric Nass when he brought us delicious Schwan's food. He was always happy and upbeat and had a positive mental attitude no matter what the weather. In addition to food recommendations, he was happy and eager about his wedding and move. Because of him the world is a happier and better place.
