Lt. Eric D. Wallace, 36, of Marlin entered into rest on Saturday, February 16, 2013.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, February 21, at First Baptist Church in Bryan, with the Rev. Blake Herridge officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin.
Eric was born June 24, 1976 in Washington, D.C. to Frank Glenn and Sheridan Lynne Loree Wallace. Eric loved his job as a firefighter and paramedic. He was a nearly 13-year veteran of the Bryan Fire Department. In 2010, he was honored by the 100 Club for bravery in a 2009 fire.
Eric was an avid hunter and loved to shoot. He coached several sports activities that his children participated in. Most of all, Eric loved being a husband and father. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
Eric was a member of the Marlin Men's Civic Association, Marlin Lodge No. 152 AF & AM, International Assn Firefighter Local No. 1203, and First Baptist Church of Marlin.
Eric was preceded in death by his father, Steven Fullmer; grandfathers, William Loree of Riverton Wyo., and Bob Marsh of Houston.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Brandie Wallace of Marlin; sons, Matthew, R.C., and Barrett Wallace of Marlin; daughters, Paige Solis and Isabell "Izzy" of Marlin; mother, Sheridan Major of Riverton, Wyo.; brother, Steven Fullmer of Riverton, Wyo.; sister, Tiffany Silverthorne of Arlington; grandmothers, Virginia Loree of Riverton, Wyo., and Virginia Marsh of Houston, Texas.
Pallbearers will be William Bouse, Jonas Brooks, Gerald Barnett, Jimmie Rosier, Larry Mallett, Jason Nored, Joe Ondrasek and Mark Jones.
Services entrusted to the care of Adams Funeral Home, Marlin, Texas.
