The memorial service for Ernest Kiah ("E.K.") Harrell, Jr., 86, of Tallahassee, who passed away on December 5, 2013, is to be conducted Monday, December 9, 2013 at 11 am at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road.
Mr. Harrell was born in Oak City, North Carolina and was co-owner of Palmer-Harrell Buick-Isuzu for over 40 years until his retirement in 2003.
He attended North Georgia Military College in Dahlonega, Georgia, was a graduate of the University of Georgia, a member of ATO fraternity, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and a member of First Baptist Church and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Clara Bradshaw Harrell of Tallahassee, two sons and a daughter: E.K. ("Kye") Harrell III and Michael Jon Harrell, both of Tallahassee and Hope Harrell Turain of Tampa. Mr. Harrell is also survived by Kye's wife Rebecca, their sons Holden and Wyatt, Hope's husband Greg, and their daughters, Natalie and Alison. Other family members include one sister, Laura Ann Campbell, her husband Jim, their sons Smith & Scott Campbell (all of Alpharetta, GA) and one sister-in-law, Charlotte Colvin of Tallahassee and her daughters, Lauren & Sally.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Big Bend Hospice or First Baptist Church.
