I cant think of anyone that made me laugh as a kid, like Gene could..his laugh alone could make you laugh at jokes that may not have been very funny. He made everything fun when he was around. Some of my fondest memories as a kid were with him.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Carole, Brian and Scotty and family. I love you guys!

This man started me on my way to a business career by letting young boys take responsibility for inventory, collections and payments, while working for Jack Frost Delight. His caring and guiding nature put you at ease to learn and start the work ethic I still have today at 59 years old.I have thought of him often and am always reminded of him when I a young person is polite and is peddling something. He was a God send for a kid who lost his father at 5 years old. Thanks Gene John Thompson Hartland Wis

Dear Carole, Brian, Scott and family;
I want to extend my sincerest condolences to all of the Campbell family.
I spent many hours with Gene doing so many fun things. I remember the first time I saw Gene, he was building the house on Kirkwood all by himself. Right then and there I knew that this was a special kind of guy. I even helped him pour the concrete for the garage at that house. I rode one of his ice cream bikes for a short time, but I have to admit, that wasn't my thing.
Many beautiful summer days were spent swimming at one of the local inland lakes where Gene would take a bunch of us kids. Just about a week ago I recorded a movie that I wanted to watch again. As soon as I saw the title, I immediately thought of Gene. He took me into Milwaukee one day to see "Sunrise at Campobello". I don't remember but Gene probably bought my ticket and popcorn - that's the kind of guy he was.
I spent many days and many evenings at the house on Kirkwood and the one on Rosewood babysitting Brian and Scotty or just hanging out.
Many times I have missed seeing him in the past and I will miss him in the future.
Thank you for the many wonderful times and wonderful memories Gene...

My condolences to Gene's family. I worked with Gene for many years at (L). He was one of those type of people that you enjoyed working with. We had many "discussions" during that time. Gene WAS one of the good guys.

Brian and family: My Mom told me about your father's passing and wanted to extend my thoughts and prayers. I never knew your father but know what great sons he had and I'm sure that is a reflection on him. Although there is sadness, I'm sure at this time there is also wonderful remembrance of your Dad and the times you have spent together, and those will always be with you and your family.

Mrs. Campbell and Family,
We are so sorry to hear about the loss of Mr. Campbell. I never seen him without a smile on his face. Jeff really enjoyed pedaling those ice cream bikes and trailer trips to Borden to pick up cases of ice cream. He will be greatly missed. All our thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
Kim, Jeff and the boys.

Dear Carole and family,
In the last few years that we have been part of the family when visiting we were always amazed at his quick wit and fun stories. We enjoyed the tour of your house and the history of the Cushman motor scooter.
We plan to come and visit as soon as we can. May the Good Lord Bless and keep you and give you comfort and peace in your time of sorrow.
Love, Bruce and Marilyn Grambo

Tom & Marsha Jordan

Carole, Brian, Scott, and family:

We're so sorry for the pain you're going through. We share your grief and send you hugs.

Gene was a special man. We know he will be missed and remembered by many, and he made a difference in the lives of a lot of people, we're sure.

We will always remember his upbeat attitude and outgoing personality, his big smile, and his contagious laugh. And of course his love for coffee with lots of sugar!

May the love of family and friends be a comfort to you; and may special memories of him and his well-lived life help to ease your sorrow.

Our love and support will always be here for you, and you will all be in our prayers.

Much love,
Tom & Marsha
