Eunice E. Barnett, 89, of Victoria passed away on Monday, July 25, 2011. She was born on August 27, 1921 in Victoria to the late Albert J. Koehl and Augusta Angerstein Koehl. Eunice was a retired Office Manager for the J.C. Penny Company. Reading and knitting were two of her favorite pastimes. She also enjoyed researching her family history and the history of Victoria and surrounding counties.
Survivors include sons, Michael Guy Barnett (Carolyn) and Jack Craig Barnett (Sandra), of Victoria, also 6 grandchildren: Craig Barnett (April), Chad Barnett (Jennifer), Jennifer Dugger (J. Bryce), Jason Barnett (Lacie), Teresa Lankford (Ray), and Robert McCord and 14 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents, husband, Elmer Guy Barnett, sister, Lorraine Lanik and brother, Leonard Koehl.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 from 6 to 8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2011, 10:00am at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Green officiating.Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Jason Barnett, Craig Barnett, Chad Barnett, J. Bryce Dugger, Chris McCord and Cody McCord.
The Family would like to thank the staff of Dr. Qadri and Dr. Nezhad, the staff at Excel Home Health, Hospice of South Texas and Paradise Oaks Assisted Living for the excellent care shown Eunice during her final years.
