Evelyn Miguez Adams went to Heaven on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at the age of 96. She was the beloved wife of the late Oliver L. Adams, the loving mother of Oliver H. Adams, John A. Adams, Sr. and Melvin J. Adams and mother-in-law of the late Ruth Arabie Adams, Janet Barrios Adams, Alice Hebert Adams and Darlene Perque Adams. She was the devoted grandmother of Ronnie Adams (Belinda), Shelia Cortez (Bradley), Kevin Adams,Sr. (Katie), Michele Adams, Danette Bourgeois (Jay), John Adams, Jr., (Monette), Lyndell Vincent (Bryan), Melissa Raiford (Travis), Scott Adams (Kelly), Ryan Adams (Angela) and Todd Adams, Sr. (Erin), the great-grandmother of BJ, Nicholas, Kevin, Jr., Katilyn, Kristen, Lauren, Emily, Adam, Jessica, Ashley, Joshua, Mikcha, Haleigh, Gabrielle, Wesley, Lily, Meredith, Isabella and Todd, Jr. and the great-great grandmother of Calie, Kevin, III, Jacob, Violet and Thomas. She was the daughter of the late Valasin Miguez and Rosalie Plaisance Miguez and the sister of the late Avea Lenord, Eve Doucet and Amay Guidry.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at WESTSIDE/LEITZ-EAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 5101 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY, MARRERO, LA. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM at which time a Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Chapel.
