Mr. Ewell Gene King, age 68 of Griffin, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the Spalding Regional Hospital.
Mr. King was born November 24, 1944 in Griffin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and attended Central Baptist Church in Barnesville. He was preceded in death by his father, Ewell King, Jr.
Survivors include his mother, Nadine King of Griffin; brother & sister-in-law, Pastor Richard Don & Marianne C. King of Lamar County; nephews, Richard John King of Plano, TX, Patrick Scott & Jennifer King of McDonough, GA; great nieces & nephews, Sarah Elizabeth King of McDonough, GA, Joshua Scott King also of McDonough, Zachary Johnathan King of Plano, TX and Nichole Renee King also of Plano.
Funeral services for Mr. Ewell Gene King will be held Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Pastor Richard Don King will officiate. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.
