Faye Pierce Rogers – an 82 year-old native of Meridian, MS and longtime resident of Saraland passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2012. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she will be remembered for her exceptional ability as a cook and for the many trips that she took with her family. Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Eudell Rogers; sister, Dorothy Negus; and brothers, Leon Pierce and B.W. Pierce, Jr.. She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Rogers (Sandra), Dennis Rogers (Janice), and Ronald Rogers (Darlene); sisters, Clara Lewis (Pat), JoAnn Doyle, and Elaine Hall (Wildon); grandchildren, Derrick Rogers (Brittany), Ryan Rogers, Jessica Rogers, and Brittleigh Rogers; great-grandchild, Cayson Rogers; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 12 noon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105. Condolences may be offered at www.mmgfuneralhome.com.
