Felix passed away on May 10th at the age of 97. He enjoyed a long and prosperous life surrounded by his family and friends.
Felix was born in Zacatecas, Mexico. The family crossed into the United States when he was a mere toddler. The Amaro family worked their way to Arizona, then on to San Jose, CA. Of his 250-member Battalion, only 17 returned.
Upon his return, he utilized his mechanic's training for over 30 years in a local cannery. In May 1947, he married Elena Belia Carrillo, who preceded him in death in 1990.
