Fern L. Roe, 94, formerly of Yoder, passed away Friday, February 1, 2013 at Markle Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 14, 1919 in Fort Wayne to the late Frank and Cora (Snyder) Harshbarger. She retired in 1981 from General Electric. She was a member of Ossian 1st Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her daughter, Cora (Daniel) Caston of Zanesville; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Also preceding her in death was her husband of over 50 years, Doyle Roe in 2002; and brother, Lyle D. Harshbarger. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill Street, Ossian, IN 46777 with visitation 1 hour prior. Visitation is also Monday, February 4, 2013 from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Preferred memorials may be made to Markle Health and Rehabilitation Center.
