Fernando L. Eyzaguirre went to Heaven on Saturday, November 25, 2012 at the age of 27 due to a carjacking while leaving from working out at the 24 hour gym. He had tragically been shot several times, and died on the scene. Police say three men got into the car and fled east on General DeGaulle Drive after the shooting, and his car is a dark blue 2007 Honda Accord with Louisiana license plate REG575
He was the beloved son of Gilberto Eyzaguirre and Mila S. Eyzaguirre and the brother of Cesar Eyzaguirre and Nancy Eyzaguirre. He was survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Fernando graduated from De La Salle High School and in 2010, he graduated from University of New Orleans with a Bachelor's Degree in Film Production and was currently attending Southeastern Louisiana University to study Computer Technology. He loved filming, but music was his passion. He was a dedicated son and brother. Fernando was very kind hearted and always looking for ways to help others. His father, Gilberto, was a past waiter for 23 years at Galatoire's where he was the "Famous Gilbert."

Fernando's parents wish to inform the community that their son was an outstanding person who was never in trouble and who was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time and they're hope is that it doesn't happen to anyone else in the future.
Relatives and friends of the family, as well as patrons and employees of Galatoire's are invited to attend the Funeral Services on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 510 1 Westbank Expressway, Marrero.
