Ferrell Buford Andrews Sr.

Ferrell Buford Andrews, 72, of Savannah, died Sunday, September 16, 2012. He was born in Macon, GA, to the late Jefferson Greenwood Andrews and Edith Josey Kitchens Andrews and moved to Savannah in 1946.

He was a graduate of Savannah High School – Class of 1957. He enjoyed farming, fishing, Braves baseball, and Nascar Racing. After graduating high school he worked for Seaboard Coastal Railroad as a switchman and also worked in the shop. He was sole proprietor of Andrew's Sunoco Station located at 3701 Ogeechee Rd between the years of 1965 to 1975.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Ocoma Andrews and his brother Dwayne Andrews.

He is survived by a son, Ferrell B. Andrews, Jr., (Vicky) of Savannah, GA; a daughter, Cheryl Andrews Bland (Scott), of Savannah, GA; a sister, Gloria Sumner (Wayne) of Savannah, GA; a sister in law, Fran Andrews of Savannah, GA; 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Fairhaven Funeral Home & Crematory, 2794 W. US Highway 80, Garden City, GA 31408.

Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Thursday in the Chapel of the Fairhaven Funeral Home, with Rev. Jonathan Phillips, pastor of Silk Hope Baptist Church, officiating.

Interment: Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park, 1600 Wheaton St., Savannah, GA 31404.
