AMATO-Florence F. (Maiolino) of East Boston on March 30, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Michael J. Amato. Loving mother of Doreen Amato and her companion Joseph Squadrito of East Boston, Andrew Amato of Revere, Michele Amato and her companion Edward Campia of Roslindale, and Diane Amato of East Boston. Cherished grandmother of Toni-Ann Privitera and her husband Philip, Le-Andra Ledoux, Arthur Ledoux and his wife Melissa, Michael, Erica and Alexa Amato; great-grandmother of Payton and Presley Privitera, Taylor and Brianna Amato. Dear sister of Josephine O'Neil of Winthrop, the late Joseph, Mary, Marion and Anna; sister-in-law to Andrew and Fran Amato of Lynn, and Richard and Lorraine DeCristiforo of East Boston. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral from The Rapino Memorial Home, 9 Chelsea St. (Maverick Sq.) EAST BOSTON on Saturday at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, Brooks St., East Boston at 10am. The family will receive visitors on Friday from 4 to 8pm. Services will conclude with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. In lieu of flowers, donations in Florence's memory may be made to: Winthrop Place, 26 Sturgis St., Winthrop, MA 02152.

Marie just told me to get ready to go to your mother's wake but as usual she is a little late and i try to check the obituaries daily. Dearest Amato Children, our old dear friends, and to your Children and Families,
We are all so sorry to hear of the passing of Your Dear Mother/Grandmother, Flo. We all have wonderful memories of hanging around together on your stoop and in the Marsh and Flo being there in her fun and kind way. Unfortunately, we know all too well the terrible pain you are going through at this time as we lost our precious Mother, Ida on February 17th. (Her obituary is on this very website as well.)
