Frances M. Bailey, age 83, of Bulls Gap, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 1, 2010 at Laughlin Healthcare Center. She was a very loving person who always put the Lord first in everything she did. She was a member of Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church in Bulls Gap. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Bailey; and her parents, Charlie and Rosa Morris.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Rosalie and Hearshel Childers; three grandchildren, Nathan Childers, Jamie Childers, Betsy and special grandson-in-law, Clinton Rutherford; brother, Thurman Morris of Quarryville, PA; sister, Mary Pennington of Shady Valley, TN; three nieces, three nephews, and some special friends whom she loved very much.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Bill LaFollette, Rev. Jimmy Jarnigan, and Rev. John Ricketts. Family and friends will meet at 1:50 p.m. in Hamblen Memory Gardens for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 – 8:00 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
