Frank W. Aldridge, 81, of Montgomery, Alabama, departed this life on July 3, 2011. He died at his home after a brief illness. He was a native of Lawrence County, Alabama, and a member of the Moulton High School class of 1948. Mr. Aldridge was preceded in death by his parents, Paul W. Aldridge and Virgie M. Sivley Aldridge, of Lawrence County, and by his brother, Dwight P. Aldridge, of Decatur. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Jeanette Morrow Aldridge, and his two daughters, Patti Aldridge Weldon (Bill) of Madison, Alabama, and Donna Aldridge Barrs (Mark) of Montgomery. Mr. Aldridge was blessed with three grandchildren, Sarah Weldon Rhodes (Matt) of Madison, Alabama, and James Barrs and Nathan Barrs of Montgomery. Other survivors include his nephews and niece, Robert Aldridge, Tim Aldridge, Beth Aldridge Villarreal, and Chris Aldridge, all of Decatur, Alabama. He served in the U.S. Navy with occupation forces in Japan following WWII, and, later, in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. His final employment was with the Montgomery County Health Department, Environmental Division. He was serving in the capacity of Director of the Division when he retired in 1986. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Leak-Memory Chapel, and a graveside service will follow immediately at Greenwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Randall Tucker officiating. Nephews of Mr. and Mrs. Aldridge will serve as pallbearers.
