Was a professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Washington University School of Medicine for nearly 42 years. Dr. Sweet conducted scientific research in molecular endocrinology and worked to find new ovarian and breast cancer treatments. In 2010, Dr. Sweet was awarded a Fulbright grant to conduct research in Bosnia-Herzegovina, with his wife, for a book on the role medical doctors in genocide.
Dr. Sweet was beloved by his wife, Dr. Rita Marika Csapo-Sweet, his children Brennan, Sarah, Cassandra and Joshua Sweet; four grandchildren, Sydney, Rachel, Cal, and Helene, and many friends and colleagues around the world.
