Frieda Jessie Wortley

August 25, 1916 - April 28, 2012
Frieda was born in 1916 in Utah. She married her husband John E. Wortley (Jack) in 1934 at Park City, Utah. In 1942 the family settled in Yakima, Washington.
Mostly a homemaker, she did work at Seattle 1st National Bank and the Washington State Employment Office in Yakima.
Frieda is survived by two sons Jack Wortley who resides in Chandler, Arizona and Bill Wortley a resident of Federal Way, Washington. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
She loved flowers and played bridge whenever possible. Frieda was quite active in the Yakima Senior Center, with her husband playing pinochle, bridge and enjoyed dancing a great deal. Frieda was also members of the Elks, Eastern Star and the Moose Clubs. She and her husband loved to travel. They traveled the world on trips via Accent Tours through the Senior Center. Frieda was a long time member of the Woman's Century Club. She will be fondly remembered for her wonderful homemade cookies and popcorn balls.
She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-five years. Jack passed away in July 1999.
Private services will held in Yakima, Washington. Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
