Mr. George Ashendorf, 94, of Tinton Falls died Wednesday March 7th 2012 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune, NJ
He was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Rumson for 30 years before moving to Tinton Falls 8 years ago.
Mr. Ashendorf was a WWII Army Veteran. He was a member of the JWV Post 125.
He was a computer systems engineer for most of his career working at RCA and then at Fort Monmouth. Most recently he worked with his son Douglas and grandson Justin at the Pain Treatment Centers of New Jersey, Clark, NJ.
Mr. Ashendorf was predeceased by his wife Mildred in 2011; his son Douglas Ashendorf, and his sister Wonda Maltz. He is survived by his grandson Justin Ashendorf of Westfield, NJ; his nephew Daniel and his niece Linda Maltz and his caretaker Shavonne Moore who after her tireless efforts of caring for both Mildred and George became more like a daughter.
Services are Friday March 9, 2012 at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 2130 Hwy 35, Ocean, NJ with internment to follow at Mt. Hebron Cemetery, Flushing New York.
