George John Bolos, 75 of South Range, WI passed away Thursday, October 4, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, MN surrounded by his family.
George was born on September 11, 1937 in Wascott, WI to the late George Sr. & Violet (Lamberg) Bolos.
George married Sue Lawler on September 27, 1958; they enjoyed 54 years of marriage together.
George was honorably discharged for the U.S. Army in 1962.
George was employed for Superior Water & Light; he retired in 1992, after 31 years of faithful service.
George spent a great majority of his life enjoying the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fishermen and golfer.
Among those who survive and gratefully shared his life; his wife of 54 years; Sue of South Range, WI; his children: Terri (Rick) Gondik of Foxboro, WI; Tammy (Dave) Cutsforth of Fall Creek, WI; three brothers: roger (Arlys) Bolos of Lake Nebagamon, WI; Donald (Laurie) Bolos, of South Range, WI; Gerald Bolos of Pagosa Springs, CO; one sister: Beatrice (Lloyd) Harris of Barthsville, OK; four grandchildren: Danielle, Derek (Kascie), Garrett, Jacob Gondik; one great grandchild Jake Gondik, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by one nephew, Joshua Bolos, 1997.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Brown Funeral Home in Solon Springs, WI. Pastor Nathan Winterhof. Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2012 at the funeral home. Interment will be held at the Gordon Memorial Cemetery in Gordon, WI. Military rites will be presented by the Wisconsin Military Honors Program.
