George Calhoun Harris, 83, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012 at the Jasper County Nursing Home. Visitation will be from 9 – 10am Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will follow at 10am in the funeral home chapel with interment at Salem Cemetery in Brandon.
Mr. Harris was born in Rankin County, Mississippi to the late, Willard Thomas and Emma Calhoun Harris. He farmed most of his life in Rankin County.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Evelyn Windham and Ruby Buckley.
Mr. Harris is survived by his sister, Mary Emogene Harris and a host of nieces and nephews.
