George M Karam, passed away on September 15, 2012, in The Woodlands, Texas, at the age of 72. George was born in McAllen, Texas, and graduated from McAllen High School. He attended Del Mar Junior College, and graduated from Rice University on football scholarships. After a brief career with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League, he graduated from University of Houston Bates College of Law. George began his career with the Harris County District Attorney's office, serving as a prosecutor and Felony Chief Prosecutor. Subsequently, he entered into a successful private practice as a Criminal Defense Attorney. George is predeceased by his wife, Janice; parents, Mike and Victoria Karam; brother, Mike M Karam; sister, Nancy Karam; and step-daughter, Kellie Wright. George is survived by sons, Constable Joseph Wright, Michael and Jeffrey Karam; step-daughter, Theresa Carlisle and step-son, Paul Wright; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and, sister, Judith Karam. Visitation will be at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060 on Wednesday, September 19, at 5-8:00 pm. Services will be held at Fellowship of the Woodlands, 1 Fellowship Dr., The Woodlands, Texas 77384, on Thursday 20, at 11:00 a.m. Burial to be followed at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
