George W. Kratochvil, Jr., 64, of Pine Beach passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012 at Van Dyke Hospice at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born and raised in Queens, NY, he lived in Long Island before moving to Pine Beach 21 years ago. He had owned and operated his own gas station and later worked for Ocean County as a Senior Diesel Mechanic for 14 years, retiring in 2012. George enjoyed car racing and was a former driver.
He was predeceased by his son, George W. Kratochvil, III in 1989 and his parents, George Kratochvil, Sr. and Madaline Nugent. Surviving are his beloved wife, Thea; sons, Justin and Ryan; two sisters, Madaline Kaminski and her husband Buddy and Jean Adams; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 30, 2012 from 1 to 5 p.m. with a prayer service at 4:00 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. Cremation will be private.
