Our beloved George Loo, 73, of Beverly Hills, CA, passed away peacefully at home on 3/17/12.
George was born in Long Beach, CA on May 8, 1939 and grew up in Whittier, CA. After he graduated from Whittier High School, he graduated from the University of Southern California with a full scholarship and Phi Beta Kappa honors. He then continued on to receive the doctor of medicine degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
George found the love of his life, Florence Chiu, and married her on June 13, 1965. They were married for a wonderful 48 years. Even though they were opposites, they complemented each other so perfectly.
George worked as an Anesthesiologist in private practice for 39.5 years and was always busy learning and tinkering. There are seven U.S. patents under his name for medical devices he invented. He routinely replaced car brakes and oil with his sons at home and cooked the best dinners and desserts. He loved deep-sea fishing, watching movies, playing practical jokes, shopping at Tuesday Morning, cooking for his family, fattening up the family with his baked goods and chatting with his best friend for over 50 years Dr. Gordon Wong. His favorite treats were visits to Lawry's, See's candies, and chocolate mousse.
George is survived by Florence, their four children: Darin, Stacie, Dana, Daric, and four grandchildren: Marisa, Trent, Ryan, and Jackson.
