Georgia M. Waikel, 81, of Fort Wayne, passed away Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 at her residence. She was born May 29, 1931 in Lake City, MN. She retired in 1997 after 37 years with Bowmar Instrument Corp as a Precision Assembler. She was a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church. She worked as a volunteer at Fort Wayne International Airport as a greeter. Surviving are her daughter, Pamela (Bruce) Niemeyer; granddaughter, Shannon (Matt) Bergdoll; and great grandchildren, Paxton and Sierra Bergdoll. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jack L. Waikel. Funeral Service is 6:00 pm Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Rd. Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd. with calling from 3 pm until service.
