Gladys M. (Potts) Bell, age 96 of Fall River passed away Monday, January 17, 2011 in Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Kenneth A. Bell Sr.
Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Alice G. (Neville) Potts and has been a lifelong resident of the city. Mrs. Bell was a member of the former St. Mark's Episcopal Church now Church of the Holy Spirit where she taught Sunday school for many years. She also worked for several years in the Stephen's Mill in Fall River and she enjoyed crocheting.
She is survived by her two children Kenneth A. Bell Jr. and his wife Deborah of Berkley and Maureen Pottle and her husband Paul of No. Dartmouth; two grandchildren Amy Kazanovicz and her husband Tim and Erin Bell and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Charles Potts.
Her Funeral will be held on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 11AM in the Church of the Holy Spirit, 160 Rock St., Fall River. Visiting hours Thursday from 5-8 PM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St., Fall River. Contributions in her honor may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, 502 Bedford St., Fall River, MA 02720 or to the Diabetes Association Inc.,170 Pleasant St., Fall River, MA 02721. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River.
