Glena Lucile Baker, 94, of Evansville, passed away Monday, April 22, 2013, at her home. She was born July 6, 1918, in McHenry, Ky.
She was a Librarian for 35 years and worked on the Book-Mobile for 15 years. She was a member of the Business Women's Association. She enjoyed the outdoors and fishing with her husband, James. She loved crossword puzzles and cooking a weekly family dinner.
Glena was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James Baker; and sister, Hazel "Shug" Irene Phelps.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce (Bill) Grubbs of Evansville; sons, John David (Maria) Baker of Boonville and James Daniel (Gloria) Baker of Evansville; grandchildren, John Baker, James Wornica, David and Chris Baker, Dawn O'Neal, CW Grubbs, Deana Stuckey and Aaron Baker; many great and great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Malcolm (Peggy) Shields.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Burial will take place in Render Cemetery in McHenry, KY.
