Acuff, Goldia L., age 85, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Mercy West Hospital. Member of Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church and former member of McCalla Avenue Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Willard Lee Acuff, and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include daughters, Diana (Michael) Sandstrom, Kathy Acuff; son, Robert Lee Acuff; grandchildren, Christy Sandstrom, Tiffany Sandstrom (Charlotte, NC), Angel Shope; great-grandchildren, Colby, Caitlin and Chase Shope; sister, Connie McNeal (Elizabethton, TN); several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel, Friday, 5-7 pm, Funeral service follows, with Rev. David Collins and Bob Peek officiating.
