Grace Gloria Berg, age 83, of Winter, WI passed away Friday, November 25, 2011 at the Indianhead Medical Center in Shell Lake, WI.
Grace was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 19, 1928 to Otto and Mary (Zimmer) Niedermeyer. She was an independent woman, having started her first restaurant when she was eighteen. She continued to own and operate several businesses throughout her life, finally retiring at the age of 64. She loved the Northwoods of Wisconsin and lived there until her death.
Grace had many interests which included watching the Green Bay Packers, following the basketball career of LeBron James, and especially enjoyed finding collectables to add to her collection of treasures. She was a very big Elvis Presley fan and loved his music, movies and seeing impersonators of him.
There was always a twinkle in Grace's blue eyes, and though she may be gone, her memory will always live on in our hearts.
She is survived by her sisters Elizabeth Fenner, Rose Ivins, brother Karl Niedermeyer, her six children Tom Wisniewski, Marlene Synkula, Paulette Dettloff, Paul Czub Jr., Tim Czub, Cathy Hockert, and her twelve grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her infant daughter Pauline, her sister Charlotte Spring, brother Max Niedermeyer, and husbands John Wisniewski, Paul Czub, and Arnold Berg.
A memorial gathering will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, December 3, 2011 at First Lutheran Church in Hayward, Wisconsin. Pastor Scott Ludford will officiate the service. A private interment will be held in the Greenwood Cemetery in Hayward.
