Guadalupe was called to the Lord's side on December 15, 2012 after a long illness. She was born in Mexico to Jose Orozco and Dolores Ortega. She emigrated to Colorado Springs in 1978 and had lived here since that date. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking for her family and watching Mexican telenovelas.
She was a strong and courageous woman that single handedly raised four children. Rene, Sandy, Gerardo and Marcella who survive her. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters and grandson Christopher.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 10a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A reception will follow mass.
