Guy Adams, 73, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, July 27, 2010.
Service: 10 a.m. Friday at SouthPointe Baptist Church with Brother David Patrick officiating. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington.

Guy was born Aug. 10, 1936, in Marion, Ohio. He joined the Air Force after graduating from Mount Vernon Academy. He was stationed at Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene. While in Abilene, he met the love of his life, his wife of 51 years, Jean.
Guy was a faithful, active member of SouthPointe Baptist Church (formerly Bethel Baptist Church in Arlington) for over 40 years. He loved working with children and leading them to a knowledge of his Savior, Jesus Christ. He also had a big heart for missions and was willing to help anyone, anytime. Guy worked as a plumber at Vaught for over 20 years. After retirement in 2005, he enjoyed working at his church. He loved working on the church property and took great pride in planting flowers and trees to make the landscape look beautiful for everyone. Guy loved spending time with his family. His favorite times were spent with his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be remembered as a loving husband, dad, Papa and as a man of great faith.
Survivors: Wife, Jean; children, Karen and Jim Rawlins of Hughes Springs and Jeff Adams of Arlington; grandchildren, Wanoka Kerbs of Fort Worth, Jesse Adams of Arlington and Lindsey Rawlins (Precious) of Hughes Springs; and a host of other family and friends.
