Guy Donat Albert, 79, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2012, at Rex Hospital in Raleigh NC. He was born on March 2, 1933, in Madawaska, Maine, beloved son of Emile Albert and Flavie Rossignol Albert.
Guy was a resident of Raleigh, NC since 1983. He was a Veteran of the US Army. Guy retired from Alcatel, formerly ITT North Electric of Raleigh, NC and Galion, OH, after 37 years of service as a Mechanical Design Engineer.
He is lovingly remembered by his loving partner and best friend of 26 years, Judy Obman, of Cary, NC; his loving sons, John and his wife Rachel, of Hilliard, OH, Tom and his wife Bev, of Brownsburg, IN, Larry and his wife Jane, of Dublin, OH, and Jim and his wife Eileen, of Parma, OH. Beloved grandfather to, Geoffrey, Madeleine, Steven, Kevin, Matthew, David, Ben, Colleen, Katie, and Megan. He will also be missed by his siblings, Leonard, Lucille, Eugenie, and Ronald.
Guy was predeceased by his parents, and his brothers, Claude and Paul.
The family will receive friends on Saturday May 26, from 2:00-3:00 pm, at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh NC. A memorial service with military honors will follow at 3:00pm in the chapel.
