H.M. Baker of Waco died Saturday morning, October 9, 2010, at the age of 65. Graveside services and interment will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at McGregor Cemetery under the direction of Cole Funeral Home, 1113 West Fifth Street, McGregor. There will not be any formal visitation, however friends may pay their respects from 2 until 9 P.M. Monday at Cole funeral Home.
H.M. was born October 15, 1944, in Waco, Texas, to the parentage of the late Roy Edward and Addie Mae (Smith) Baker. A 1963 graduate of McGregor High School, H.M. played Trumpet in the Bulldog Band. In 1968, a degree of Bachelors of Arts in History and Political Science was earned from Baylor University.
H.M. served in the United States Air Force from 1968 until an honorable discharge was given in 1972 as a Captain. H.M. was a member of the Bellmead Lion's Club and the St. Joseph Knights of Columbus Council. Survivors include his spouse, Donna; two sons, David Baker of Waco and Joseph Baker of Dallas.
