Ivey - Harold Benjamin Morris, Sr., 80, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012 in Toomsboro. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 29, 2012 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Eric Byrd will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Morris, son of the late Benjamin Franklin Morris and Alice Sentel Morris, was born in Macon. He was retired from the U. S. Army after serving two tours during the Korean Conflict and three tours during the Vietnam War. Mr. Morris was of the Baptist faith and was a Mason. He was a member of the American Rifle Association.
Survivors include his children, Patricia M. Burgess (Doyle) of Ivey, Harold B. Morris, Jr. and Deborah E. Nelson (Lanny), all of Macon; his grandchildren, Aaron R. Aber, Jr., Anthony Q. Aber, Steven D. Aber, Patrick B. Morris and Joshua E. Morris; five great grandchildren; his sister, Shirley Christian (Billy) of Hendersonville, TN; his brother, Billy Morris (June) of Hazlehurst.
