Harold E. Wagner, born 11-4-1924 in Wenatchee, WA to parents, Elmer and Venus Wagner. He attended 1st-12th grade in Wenatchee. Harold graduated from Wenatchee High – May 27th 1943. Harold enlisted in the Navy Seebees September 8th 1943 – serving 2 years and 7 months as a MoMM 2nd Class in the South Pacific theatre; receiving the bronze star and several ribbons in 1945 for combat in Le Shima and Okinawa before being discharged April 22, 1946.
He married Doris Kirk in June of 1946 and went to Moses Lake in December 1948 where he was owner and Manager of Union 76 Station. Later he established a Uniroyal Tire and Recapping shop – which he continued to operate until retiring in 1969.
Harold dabbled in Real Estate – owning and operating several duplexes and apartments. He was active in the Lions Club (having 18 years perfect attendance), member of the Elks club, The Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, El Katip Shrine (Spokane), and Big Ben Shrine Club (Moses Lake).
In July of 1983 he married Alverna Moore of Sunnyside. They traveled the next 20 years touring 32 countries before settling down in Yakima.
Harold is survived by his wife, Alverna of 30 years, his two children, Vicki (John Early), Ronald Wagner, two step children, Barbara Moorehead (Steve Moorehead), and James Moore – plus two grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
