Hazel was wonderful. She accepted me into her unofficial family, loved and followed the lives of my children, gave excellent advice, and was always gracious. My sons thought the world of her. I hope people will feel about me the way I feel about Hazel when I go on to Heaven.

Many times in far off countries when in need of guidance to overcome some challenge, reflecting on Hazel's words of wisdon proved to yield a worthy result. She seemed to have a gift of insight to just believe in yourself.. To me she seemed to expect better but was never short on encouragement. I will miss her counsel. Am thankful to have known her for so many years. Fred Gates

We were next door neighbors for almost 30 years. She and "Pap" were like a second set of parents to us. They were some of the finest people we ever met.

My Big Sis, no longer with us, there is so much waiting you on havens shore, I should not feel bad about your passing. I'll try not to, it has been hard over the last few years, my living in North Carolina and you in West Virginia, I knew you were being taking care of, but it was so far I did not get to visit,So all I can say now is I'll miss you but it wont be long until we will be together again

She was a wonderful woman and I loved her like a second Mother. Myself and my children were so blessed to have her in our life. The last fifty years have passed by so fast, to have just one more day to just sit and talk with her about anything and all things lol. I will truly miss you MY OTHER MOM
