Allgeier : Helen M. With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother and nana, Helen May (Filsinger) Allgeier, on Tuesday May 10th, 2011 at Sunnyside Home, Kitchener.
Helen was born on May 4th, 1927.
She was predeceased by her parents Jesse and Edith (Kaiser) Filsinger, brothers Harry and Vern and granddaughter Pamela Allgeier-Glebe and special sister-in-law Shirley Allgeier. Treasured mom to Jennifer, Doug (Wendy Newbery) and Gord; nana to Evie and Clare Allgeier.
Helen's life was focused on family. The love and pride she felt for her children and grandchildren was the cornerstone of her life. She loved music, her church, her dog friends and the special family times of shared meals and laughter. Thank you to all of Helen's wonderful friends for adding such richness to her life. Thank you also to the caring staff at Sunnyside Home.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial celebration of Helen's life will be held at Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener on Saturday May 21st at 11:00 am.
Donations may be made to the Hospital for Sick Children or the Waterloo Regional Down Syndrome Society as expressions of sympathy through the funeral home.
