Helen K. Baird, 87, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012, at Deaconess Gateway. She was born July 15, 1924, in Evansville.
She was a member of Oak Hill Church of Christ. She loved to cook and lived for her family. She was "Queen of Aviation Avenue" and was loved by all.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Y. Baird, in 2003; and nine brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Helen Jennings of Evansville and Jean (James) Eastwood of Washington; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Mark Engel, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
