As an executive at IBM for over 25 years, Herm traveled the world, held high positions in Poughkeepsie and Toronto, coordinated IBM World Trade and played an integral part in establishing IBM in RTP. After retiring from IBM, he took on a second career building houses and managing his real estate holdings.
Herm loved golf and in retirement truly enjoyed playing with his sons at courses in Raleigh and at the coast during their frequent trips there.
