Howard W. Barron, 79, died Thursday November 28, 2013 at Oasis Health and Rehab in Yazoo City, MS.
Funeral services will held at 11:00 AM Tuesday December 3, 2013 from Fondren Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be Monday between the hours of 5 and 7 PM at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home on High Street and after 10 AM Tuesday at the church. Interment will follow the service in Lakewood Cemetery.
Born in Illinois on April 26, 1934 to share cropper parents, he moved to Kentucky at a young age. His first job was a Tour Guide at Mammoth Onyx Caves in Kentucky. Howard graduated from Christian Brothers College in Memphis with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and he was a member of Fondren Presbyterian Church. He moved to Jackson in 1965 and retired from General Electric in Jackson. Howard was also an avid photographer and he was co- owner of One Blu Wall Gallery in Fondren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Mary Ann Barron in August of this year and his daughter Laura Ann Terrabone.
Survivors include his son John Barron of Jackson and granddaughter Lyndsey Ann Terrabone of Jackson.
