GOLDRUP Howard Joseph
Peacefully on January 18, 2013 at St. Peter's Hospital, in his 87th year. Loving and Devoted Husband of Patricia for 61 years. Lovingly remembered by his daughters, Patricia Goldrup and Linda McCall and his son Lawrence Goldrup. Predeceased by his son Richard. Beloved Grandpa of 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Violet Tweedle and Milton Goldrup (Juliette). Predeceased by his brother John and his sister Della. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Howard served in WWII and acted as the president of HMAN Vets for 24 years. As an avid boxer in the army, he was undefeated. He played hockey for the St. Peter's Petes and was also scouted by Montreal, but couldn't go as he was in the army. Howard retired from Westinghouse after 25 dedicated years. The family will receive friends at the CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. East, on Monday from 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Hamilton Cemetery.
