Irving Matis 91 of Royal Palm Beach, Florida formerly of Massapequa, NY passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013. Irving was born May 26, 1921 in the Bronx, New York to the late Edward and Lilly Matis. Irving served in the US Army Air Corp during WWII receiving the Purple Heart. He served on the Planning & Zoning Commission for the Village of Royal Palm Beach and was a proud volunteer for the Palm Beach County District Attorney's Office. Irving is predeceased by his wife Bea. He is survived by his son Howard (Mary) Matis; grandsons Kenneth Matis and Justin (Aspen) Matis. Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 28, 2013 at 2:30pm. Burial with Military Honors will follow.
