Isabell Nunez of Beaumont, California passed away December 1, 2012. She was a life long resident of Beaumont having been born November 19, 1928 in San Timoteo Canyon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward O. Nunez, parents Canuto "Ray" Chavez and Delfina Miras and infant daughter Mary Nunez. Isabell was a member of San Gorgonio Catholic Church (now St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church) all of her life; over the years she participated in a number of volunteer ministries at the parish: Parish Council, Religious Education, wives of the Knights of Columbus, Confraternity of Christian Mothers, Cursillo and Marriage Encounter. She also volunteered at Precious Blood Catholic School, that her sons attended. In later life she enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Isabell worked outside the home as a seamstress and at San Gorgonio Pass Hospital for over 20 yrs.
Isabell is survived by sons, Monsignor Edward H Nunez and Gerald (Diane) Nunez; grandchildren Amado Nunez, Edward M. (Jayme) Nunez and Amarisa (Eduardo) Fuentes; sisters Delfina Juarez and Evelyn Collert; brother Charlie (Peggy) Gonzalez and a number of great grandchildren.
While her illness took her from our sight for the last number of years, her love for us remains.
Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon her.
Visitation Sunday, December 9, 2012, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with The Rosary/Vigil Service at 7:00 PM, at Weaver Mortuary, 1177 Beaumont Avenue, Beaumont, California. Funeral Mass Monday, December 10, 2012, at 10:00 AM, at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church, 1234 Palm Avenue, Beaumont, California. Interment Monday, December 10, 2012, at 2:01 PM, at Riverside National Cemetery, staging area #6, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, California.
