Jack Donald Dueling, 80, died on October 3, 2013, after a long bout of ill health. Jack was born in Iowa and joined the U.S. Army, where he proudly served his country. Jack completed Airborne training in Fort Benning, Georgia, with the 11th Air Assault Division, and during his tour of Vietnam, he served with the 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile). Jack was awarded a Silver Star for gallantry in action during his combat service in Vietnam. After his retirement from the Army, Jack worked for the State of Florida Department of Transportation in Orlando. He is survived by his wife Hilde; his son Donald (Laura); and his granddaughters Cynthia, Ashley and Alexandra (Bradshaw). He is predeceased by his daughter RoseAnn Dueling Tayes Green (Ron). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to VITAS Hospice – Central Florida or Disabled American Veterans (DAV). A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Oct. 12 at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, Florida.
