Mr. James Franklin Alexander, 81, died Monday, June 18, 2012 at St. Dominic's Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 20, 2012 in the Braxton Cemetery. Visitation will be between the hours of 4 and 7 PM Tuesday at Wright and Ferguson on High St.
Born in Arkansas, Mr. Alexander had made his home in the Jackson area for many years. He was a member of McLaurin Heights United Methodist Church. He retired from Mississippi Power and Light Company Meter Department in 1991 after 43years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Norma Harper Alexander, his mother Elizabeth Alexander and his brother Wesley Alexander.
Survivors include his wife of 7 years Mildred Alexander; son, Scott Alexander and wife Debbie; daughter Sharon Clements and husband Jeremy and daughter Sheila Roper. Also, his brother William Alexander. Grandchildren Ashley Bridges, Aryn Alexander, Harper and Holden Clements, and Anthony, John and Tyler Roper.
